We bought our RV because we realized this investment would create memories while we can still recall them. Brent's patience and good humour with our working through our evaluating to find exactly the right fit for both our pocketbook and our expected use was priceless. When we finally found the exact unit for value and versatility, we enjoyed even the add-ons shopping, because the base price was right for us. We stayed overnight at the dealership campsite to get practice with the unit and work out a couple minor questions and bugs. Update - Sorry I should have done this back in October. I have to say the service department is amazing. After our shakedown two week holiday trip we came up with a few problems and when we took it back to Country Roads for some prearranged work, they corrected all the little problems we had discovered on our trip. We were not expecting that and I have to give them heaps of praise for going above and beyond. What started out as a great experience at Country Roads RV went sideways and has left me disappointed. We met with a salesperson who showed us through the trailer we had specifically travelled to Sundre to see, he answered al our questions and if he didn't know the answer was honest and told us so. We have been looking at a lot of trailers but this Rockwood caught our eye once we looked through it, it was fresh on the lot so hadn't been cleaned and serviced yet. As we talked it was understood the trailer would be serviced and cleaned before we took it, so we put an offer in over the phone. Our offer was accepted and this is where it started going sideways. Sales person states our given offer plus service fees and taxes and gives a total. Hubby knows it doesn't sound quite right but we want to see the numbers on paper. Next day the paperwork comes through and shows our offer plus prep fee of $649.00 and document fee of $399.00 and GST. The GST is a given, the document fee (its a cash deal) I don't like but can live with, the deal breaker is the $649.00 prep fee. I thought the price we offered was for a ready to leave the lot trailer. I hoped we could reach some sort of agreeable middle ground with the dealership but speaking with the salesperson and sales manager didn't get me anywhere except our deposit back. So we are back looking, but now we know to clarify that our offer includes and fees and services. Still sad and disappointed though!UPDATE**** Due to the fact the trailer was exactly what we were looking for, we went back to the dealership and bought the trailer. Everyone was courteous and friendly and even due to the "pause" in our deal the dealership were able to get the trailer ready to travel by the original date we had agreed on.
